The Last of Us! So good. :)

Anyone jumped on the Severance bandwagon yet? So good. One of the best shows I've seen this year. I also binge-watched The Boys in four days. It was so entertaining; I had a good time watching it. I'm currently watching Forensic Files II because I'm super interested in True Crime. I listen to a lot of TC podcasts. 😬

@skwigg you should check out r/instagramreality on Reddit. Social media is toxic af. I wish women would realize it’s okay to not look like you‘re in your 20s. I somehow struggle with this being in my early 40s, especially seeing celebrities hardly aging at all. I just remind myself that the alternative is worse - death.

I started watching Succession last night and I’m on s1 ep4. I don’t know if I like it because it’s been a drag. Nothing is happening and the characters are all vile, hehe. I’m obviously having Ted Lasso withdrawals and trying to find something to fill the void. So far, none has done the trick... although I could start “Schmigadoon” again.

I lied. We finished "Squid Game" last night. I don't know how I feel about it. On the one hand, it's really well done. Visually, it's a stunning show and all actors did a good job, albeit some of them were a bit theatrical (though I think that's just par for the course for Korean actors). On the other hand, I just felt it was such a depressing show. Like, how far people will go to win the prize money. And some minor plot issues I had. However, it's compelling, that's for sure. I mean between this and "Clickbait", this is a better show although I wouldn't say this is the best show I watched this year.

@sarah too Mare is so good. Give it another shot. Jean Smart is also amazing in it. Actually, all cast members are. It’s such a good show. No wonder a few of them won acting Emmys.

Anyone heard of “Squid Game” on Netflix yet? It’s fairly hyped so I watched the first episode. Not too sold on it yet because I find it toooooo brutal/violent for my taste. Its plot is similar to Battle Royale but I have to say, the visuals are stunning. It’s something that can wait, unlike Sex Education, which I binged in two days. Lol. “Fuck the pain away!” 🎶🎵 We’re also watching “Hacks”. I have been sleeping on Jean Smart. Fuck, that lady is phenomenal.

I personally like white kitchens because of upkeep. Dark looks great but a pain to clean. I think I follow too many cleaners on IG. 😂 JK.

We started “Only Murders in the Building”. It’s a comedy/mystery show about a bunch of neighbours living in the same building where one of the tenants offed himself and they’re making a true crime podcast about it. It’s not bad and made me LOL.

Mare of Easttown. I binged five episodes yesterday LOL. Kate Winslet is chef's kiss. So, so good. I know one of the biggest spoilers because DH watched a few months back and I saw bits and pieces. Jean Smart is very funny, lol. I love the show. It reminds me sooo much of my all-time favorite, "Mindhunter".

Recently these have been Casefile, Canadian True Crime, Court Junkie, and They Walk Among Us (UK crimes). These are one-person narration without commentary, which I really like since I can’t stand people opining on crimes lol. I don’t want to hear about it (looking at you, Parcast Network). My all-time favourite though is In The Dark (season one). That was amazing. Cold season one is also pretty good. These are about one subject/victim and goes more in-depth. White collar crime: Swindled. It’s my current favorite. 😁

We finished “Clickbait” on Netflix and I liked it. It’s not gonna win any awards but I just enjoyed the show despite its shortcomings.

My podcasts are mostly hockey and true crime related so I’m probably not the best person to ask 😂
