I honestly don't know where she's going with this subject matter, so I have one eyebrow up, but there are always some thought provoking discussion and great takeaways in her webinars. I'll check it out and see. It reminds me of all the times I tried to do "happy" paleo or "happy" intermittent fasting. In other words, I was trying to learn to enjoy restriction and make it a lifestyle. That never worked one time. So, it will be interesting to see if she takes these methods down or if she thinks there are useful elements that can be incorporated in a non crazy way. I'm also interested in what she says about eating for weight loss vs maintenance, or eating for performance without being a nut. I think it will be a great conversation, even if I completely disagree. I'll bet there's some common ground though. Here's the email.
Quick message today to let you know about a FREE live Nutrition Masterclass Iím hosting this Tuesday August 21st at 8:30pm EST/5:30pm PST.
Itís a brand new training Iíve never shared before, addressing all the latest dieting trends and approaches, including the Keto diet, Intermittent Fasting, Paleo, Flexible Dieting/macro counting, ďdetoxes and cleanses,Ē of course #moderation365 and more.
I get a LOT of questions about all of theseóand exactly if and how they might be able to work for certain individuals. I'll be running through all of that.
As you know, I am not a huge fan of strict diets. I think they can make us more neurotic, obsessive and start to feel more stressful than just eating without rules might be.
BUT, I do believe that we can take insight from all different ways of eating and apply some of the principles to our unique metabolism, personal preferences, psychology, schedule and moreóto CREATE a perfect eating plan thatís 100% individual to us.
In the live training, Iíll be helping you troubleshoot your own eating.
Lastly, a major question that comes up again and AGAIN is around eating for maintenance versus eating for fat loss (or attainment).
Yes, the approaches are somewhat different, but itís not what you think.
Iíll be breaking down the difference between fat loss eating, performance eating, maintenance eating, and more, ALL WITH AN EYE TOWARDS BEING NORMAL WITH FOOD.
Iím an anti-obsession coach, and I believe that whenever we change anything with our nutrition, we always need to consider the psychology and lifestyle implicationsówill this make us more or less obsessive? Ya dig?
Aaaah, Iím looking forward to having you on the call live!
Not sure if itís going to be recorded so do your best to be on live, especially if youíd like to get your specific nutrition situation addressed.
Let me know if you have any questions and see you Tuesday!
