Right? She makes learning about fat kind of fascinating. You wouldn't want to be without out it because all kinds of crazy stuff happens. The sugar and fat in your blood have nowhere to go, so your body starts packing fat into your liver and cholesterol into bumps on your skin.
Wait til you get to the fat chicken virus. LOL
Just this morning, I wrapped up the part where Dr. Friedman and his research team discovered leptin. Never has a research finding been so written as breathlessly and edge-of-my-seat compelling as here, LOL!
I'm really enjoying the book so far, because of the quirky factoids that are being presented. So when the author goes on this extreme regimen at the end, it's going to be bum me out. But the info about various fat proteins, the interplay of glucose, fat and glycogen, how fat "talks" to other parts of the body - they're just too important to overlook, IMO.
