I was trying to ignore this, I really was. But then I open my Feedly and discover that Nia Shanks, Molly Galbraith, Jen Sinkler, and all my female fitness women heartily endorse it. So, screw it. I just signed up for Jill Coleman's 10-Week Mindset Makeover. It's 10 weeks of daily emails discussing mindset, body image, etc. I know enough of Jill to know that we agree on many things. She often references Byron Katie and books like The Willpower Instinct. She's all about questioning your thoughts and losing the guilt, shame, and drama. She's also a former figure competitor and current physique coach, so much of her audience is coming from a background of absolute diet mania and distorted body image. How do you get and stay lean without becoming a miserable wacko? How do you create balance? Consistency? Happiness? It's never about finding the perfect diet plan. It's about what's happening between your ears.
I'm looking forward to this and I thought I'd throw it out there and see if anybody else is doing it and might want to discuss it. There is no group, no personal coaching, no online discussion forum for it. There is no diet or nutrition plan, just brains and thoughts. That's my affiliate link. As far as I can tell, sign-ups are open from July 22-25, 2014. I don't know if it's available beyond that. I haven't done it obviously, so I can't answer specific questions about the content. I do know that there will be some fat loss mindset talk. That may or may not be for everyone. She discusses here who it's for, who it's not for, and what will be covered.
