Hello Happy Eaters,
I am currently reading this book and I think it is just awesome. I have not had such an interesting read in a long long time. This author has written anti-diet books for almost 20 years but somehow I had missed all of it....well I know why: I was discarding all the anti-diet books duh.
Anyhow, I totally love her approach and explanations. She is a little too versed into healthy eating for me. But besides that, the core of the message hit all the spots for me.
I have been a real better happy eater for a good year now but somehow when I gained a little weight 3 weeks ago I was back on a big diet hunt, althought I never acted on it, just the thought of restricting a bit here and there made me think about food and eat mindlessly.
So in short, she makes really good points both biological and psychological as to why dieting is the cause of bingeing and weight gain in the first place. Treating your body right and eating according to hunger is THE ONLY lifelong SOLUTION. But the way she explains it makes so much sense to me.
Maybe it's just because I was ready to listen to that type of message once and for all....I don't know, maybe you have read her previous books...maybe it's my 3rd coffee and I'm hyper today (truth)...I am at work reading this book secretly on my phone whenever I can...I am really enjoying it.
It is very similar to recent posts seen on here, an answer Skwigg just gave to Jazzapple is just an exemple....so in line with this book. ;-)
