It's here! A thread for baking talk and photos. I bought a KitchenAid stand mixer and I want to become an expert baker now. This is hilarious because I'd always considered myself a non-cook, and afraid of carbs. Oh, how things change!
I'll get things started with photos of my last two cakes. The first was a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting using Duncan Hines mix and frosting. It was delicious. The next is the crazy fudge monster where I made my own chocolate buttercream frosting, lots of it! I plopped it all on the cake and it was magnificent, though not exactly neat and professional looking.
